Magnetismus are a twosome from Copenhagen and Stuttgart: Peter and Gerhard. Magnetismus (= magnetism) is a project on crossdressing, sex roles, gender bending and other queer issues, sometimes from an erotic and sexual viewpoint, other times fun and provocative. Magnetismus holds workshops on a variety of subjects and contexts.

Peter

has been a fan of crossdressing both in theory and practice for many years. He is, as a psychologist and experimenter, interested in how wearing the clothing of the opposite sex can confuse, open the door to novel experience or even merge into the everyday.

Gerhard

was always fascinated by sex roles, both their attraction and the taboos connected with them, the commands and prohibitions to obey or to enjoy breaking. He loves to play with what may be a tiny detail, such as an article of clothing or a piece of jewellery, provoking confusion or smirks. As a photographer whose emphasis lies in "personal photography", contingent on play and experiment with clothing and roles, the questions that preocccupy him are: How far am I ready or obliged to submit to the current stereotypes? Am I less a man wearing a skirt than trousers – even though a woman wearing trousers is still a woman? Why must male clothing be unsexy?

We will bring lots of material with little predetermined forms: soft, hard, large, opaque, transparent, coloured, black, covering or emphasizing. You get inspired by the material and create form – wrapping, confining, covering. A wrapped body – protected or exposed? Confined or covered during every movement? From the basic experience, impulses might evolve and there are others who might react to them: soft, hard, large, opaque, transparent, coloured, black, covering or emphasizing. Please bring material yourself to share and use.

Material – Experiment – Form - Experience

There is material for you to use –free and creative. You form the form. In this workshop the material is used to show the body off and ideas what to do with it. Colours jump into the eye, material does emphasize more than it covers, fabrics hold on strongly – and taking it away can free. The wrapped body – covered or seen anyway? From the basic experience, impulses might evolve and there are others who might react to them: seeing, sensing, touching, investigate, seduce. Please bring material yourself to share and use.

Seminar: Crossdressing Orgy – Different at times – more or less

This workshop turns into an orgy – an orgy of crossing borders, stereotypes, and roles. We bring clothes and material to share and ask you to do the same. Who comes in changes – takes on new cloths and new roles. Clothes and their influence on roles. New impulses, new experiences, new reactions by others, changed movements and desires. A feast of sensualism, sex and SM – Crossdressing is the only requirement for this party – all else is up to you. We will assist with dressing and make up. And yes, we welcome women and men and all in between.
